Our priority areas include emerging technologies, innovative equipment and translational research.
About the role
The Senior Philanthropy Officer holds a leadership role in fundraising strategy and revenue growth. They will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of major donors and prospects. The successful candidate will have a strong record of soliciting donations and sponsorships above $10,000 from individuals and corporations.
Key Responsibilities
Identifies and cultivates potential major donors, legacy donors and sponsors.
Manages a portfolio of donors and prospects, including in-person and telephone meetings, electronic, and written communication.
Aligns the interests of prospects and donors with current and future Glenrose Hospital projects.
Develops and executes strategies for making successful major gift solicitations.
Prepares proposals and works with donors and stakeholders to generate gifts for priority projects.
Develops and executes a stewardship strategy for donor recognition and impact reporting.
Competencies and Qualifications Education
University degree in a related field preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is an asset.
Experience
At least three years of non-profit fundraising experience.
Demonstrated success in soliciting donations and sponsorships of at least $10,000.
Experience identifying and engaging prospective donors.
Additional Skills & Attributes
Solid knowledge of ethical principles and best practices related to fundraising, prospect research and donor relations.
Superior ability to translate complex information and communicate the Foundation’s priorities to donors and prospects in a concise and compelling manner.
Extensive familiarity and expertise with Microsoft Office 365.
Experience with donor database systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
Open and honest approach to working with others, including the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Determined to maintain continuous momentum and drive progress; proactive and action focused.
Exceptional communication skills.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally.
Satisfactory criminal record check.
Employment Details
Hours and Location of Work
This is a full-time, permanent position. Hours of work are typically during the day, Monday – Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. This is a hybrid position, where the incumbent is expected to be in-office 1-2 days per week.
Compensation
We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including benefits, professional development and generous paid time off. The salary range for this role is between $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
