Reporting to the Manager, Donor Relations, the Department of Advancement and Alumni Relations is seeking a creative and dynamic annual fund professional to join our team. The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive annual giving program in alignment to institutional priorities. The Annual Giving Officer will also manage a portfolio of annual fund prospects.
As part of the Donor Relations team, the incumbent will focus on relationship building and engagement of annual fund donors through various platforms and special project assignments. The successful candidate must be independently motivated, goal oriented and a strategic thinker who can execute in a team oriented, results driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, execute and manage a multidimensional annual giving program that utilizes a variety of mediums to communicate with and solicit current and potential donors. Strategy will encompass digital/crowdfunding, direct mail, a focus on the giving webpages and the online experience of our donors and volunteer management. Additionally, they will draft content, manage production schedules, identify targeted segments, and ensure adherence to the project budget for annual giving campaigns, continually monitoring progress toward campaign goals.
- Manage NAIT it Forward, the annual faculty and staff campaign.
- Cultivate, solicit and steward annual gifts from a portfolio of donors and prospects with associated metrics including one on one meetings.
- Coordinate the ongoing engagement of President’s Society including but not limited to assist with society strategy, event planning and communications.
- Draft and edit various donor communications and writing assignments working closely with the Donor Relations and Marketing and Communications team members
- Coordinate Legacy Giving program materials and promotion. Working closely with the Development Team, act as a resource working directly with donors and prospects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across campus to strategize and develop impactful campaigns for solicitation or donor recognition.
- Identify and explore upgrade pathways to further engage donors and participation.
- Manage and schedule all communications through Thankview.
- Provide excellent customer service to donors and prospects.
Skills & Abilities:
- Possess the ability to be an active listener and engage donors and prospects in fundraising and relationship building conversations
- Translate and analyze campaign results and data into actionable items and make tactical recommendations as necessary.
- Superior project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills
- Advanced writing skills with the ability to create impactful storytelling and various written assignments
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years professional annual giving experience with an understanding of fundraising principles and donor relations
- Experience in post-secondary fundraising is preferred
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, some experience with Raiser’s Edge is preferred
- Experience with video editing and multimedia is considered an asset
- A valid driver’s license
Remuneration: $ 2635.92 - $ 3492.03 bi-weekly PLUS a comprehensive benefits package.
