Community Engagement Specialist
The Today Family Violence Help Centre
Salary Range: $61,650 To $66,732
With the support of the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Develop and nurture relationships with established and new donors to maximize donor potential
Develop and implement a viable framework or work plan for effectively networking and building relationships with individuals, businesses, Board, staff and volunteers
Make recommendations for fundraising and donor initiatives, including special events, and oversees planning
Develop and implement viable and sustainable strategies to meet or exceed funding operational and wage targets on an annual basis
Obtain and maintain corporate sponsorship to increase fundraising proceeds and promote awareness
Supervise communication activities and staff while providing leadership for all aspects of fund development activities, including the coordination and participation in events to promote the organization
Oversee the development, co-ordination and implementation of all special events, including, but not limited to, recognition events, cheque presentations, related site tours, third-party fundraising events
Prepare event and campaign projections regarding budget and anticipated revenues for review by the Executive Director
Create and oversee working groups (staff/volunteers) to undertake the development, implementation, and follow through for special events
Ensure all fundraising and donor activities are conducted in accordance with current regulatory requirements, legislative requirements, The Today Centre Policies and Procedures, and the Association of Fundraisers Code of Ethics and Conduct
Deliver presentations and solicits financial support from local clubs, service groups, churches, businesses, etc.
