Salary: $45,000 - $60,000


St. Michael’s Health Group is seeking a full-time (38.75 hrs/wk) professional Fund Development Officer for fund raising across the entire organization.

Located in Edmonton, the Fund Development Officer, reports to the Director, Development and Communications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for day-to-day fundraising activities for St. Michael’s Health Group including all annual campaigns and initiatives.

  • Will be the internal fundraising lead for our $9M Capital Campaign for Fenwyck Heights.

  • Will identify funding/grant sources, and will assist with proposal writing.

  • Responsible for fundraising events.

  • The development of fundraising campaigns.

  • Assists with all aspects of donor management for all St. Michael’s Health Group facilities.

  • Will assist with preparing communications materials related to fundraising, and will jointly maintain media and stakeholder/donor contact lists with the Communications and Marketing Officer.

  • Will work together with Communications and other SMHG staff on assigned projects and tasks.

  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have a diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant experiences. The candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in fundraising, design, communications, marketing or in a business development environment. Candidate has prior experience in fund development with a non-profit organization, demonstrated leadership and personal integrity and has the ability to build strong relationships. Candidate must be a quick learner with the ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills, has creativity and initiative and be a self-starter. Courses in Fund Development and marketing are preferred. Experience in leading a capital campaign is preferred. Strong computer skills, including high proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe In-Design and use of donor database software such as @Ease are desirable.
