Salary Range: $53,000 - $88,000 - Salary is negotiable based on experience and education


About the Role

CASA Mental Health is an established non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally-safe wrap-around mental health services to Albertans and their families. CASA provides mental health service to the missing middle – mental health treatment for diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion in primary and community care, and acute treatment in hospital.

CASA’s team of mental health professionals are trauma experts committed to delivering service in collaboration with community partners. This includes assessment and treatment for up to 4,000 children, youth and their families each year, from community outreach settings to intensive treatment programs.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Fund Development, the Development Officer, Stewardship plays an integral role in managing a comprehensive stewardship program involving meaningful gift acknowledgement, donor recognition and donor accountability with the goal of strengthening Albertans’ connection to CASA’s mission. The Development Officer, Stewardship works across fund development portfolios to enhance donor relationships and ensure long-term growth and stability.

The Development Officer, Stewardship will:

  • Manage the stewardship program to support CASA’s goals.

  • Ensure donors receive timely and meaningful acknowledgement of their gift.

  • Manage letters, calls and emails by monitoring customer relationship management database for donor activity.

  • Assist in coordination of annual donor stewardship events, segmentation and coordination of holiday season cards.

  • Assist the Senior Development Officer, Major Gifts with production and installation of donor recognition, updating donor walls across sites on an annual basis.

  • Coordinate and prepare submissions for external donor recognition awards.

  • Provide timely delivery of accurate and compelling stewardship reports that communicate how donors’ gifts were used to impact the lives of children, families and communities.

  • Work with Marketing and Annual Giving to develop and execute recognition and stewardship plans for campaigns and appeals.

  • Assist fundraisers with the stewarding of their pipelines.

  • Establish a tribute program that will inspire Albertans to engage with CASA through “in honour of” and “in memory of” gifts.

  • Contribute to developing the stewardship budget annually.

  • Write and develop donor impact reports in collaboration with the Marketing and Development Officer and the Graphic Designer.

Maximum Salary: $88,000

Hours per Shift: 7.25

Shifts per Week: Five

Days Off: Saturday and Sunday

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a charitable organization or non-profit organization.

  • Significant skill in relationship management and nurturing internal and external client relationships will also be considered.

  • Valid driver’s license is a requirement.

  • Direct stewardship experience is an asset.

  • Understanding and experience of donor database management systems, such as Donor Perfect, Raiser's Edge or Salesforce.

  • Certified Fundraising Executive designation is an asset.
