Reporting to the Director of Community Relations, the Fund Development Coordinator will support various tasks related to fundraising activities, alumni and community relations. Duties will vary from planning grassroot events, engaging CUE community in various fundraising activities, to maintaining donor data and information through Raiser’s Edge. This position will work collaboratively with the Director on many other initiatives that involve relationship building and fundraising with the goal of supporting CUE students.

This position will be hybrid of both remote and on-campus work.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the implementation of a fundraising plan to retain and renew current donors.
• Support the Director by being a point of contact for phone and email inquiries in a professional, courteous and timely manner
• In collaboration with the Director, advise prospects on giving options available; develop gift proposals; and work with donors to complete transfers of funds.
• Utilize fundraising tactics and tools to monitor and evaluate pre-established fundraising goals and outcomes.
• Continually monitor goals and results of campaigns, ensuring they are launched on time and on budget. Collaborating with the Communications and Marketing Department
• Provide monthly campaign updates using Raiser’s Edge CRM to the Director and the Vice-President; follow up as assigned.
• Lead coordination for special fundraising events, in-person and/or virtually, such as President’s Fundraising Mental Health Breakfast, CUE World Gala, and other fundraising events/initiatives as identified
• Issue monthly tax receipts and thank you letters to donors, provide regular attention to the CRM software Raiser’s Edge, attend webinars to ensure up-to-date training and knowledge of the system
• Assist in writing grant proposals and maintaining annual grants calendar
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fundraising industry best practice and innovations
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of fundraising requests and initiatives
• Act as a brand champion for external relations and the power of philanthropy, upholding the university’s visual identity.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a related field; post-secondary or non-profit.
• Certified Fundraising Professional Executive (CFRE) designation is considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a diplomatic approach to all constituencies, internal and external.
• Must be flexible, and have the ability to travel to other locations and related events outside normal business hours.
• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are required.
• High level of knowledge about relational database systems and technology applications.
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check results.
