AFP Edmonton & Area Chapter

Our Chapter

Founded in 1996, the Edmonton & Area Chapter of AFP is a member of the worldwide Association of Fundraising Professionals. AFP advances philanthropy by enabling people and organizations to practice effective and ethical fundraising. The Edmonton & Area Chapter has grown into a dynamic, thriving leadership group of over 300 members, from across northern Alberta, including Red Deer, Lloyminster, Grand Prairie and Fort McMurry. We are also an active partner in conferences, workshops and leadership presentations throughout western Canada.

Our Mission

The Edmonton & Area Chapter advances philanthropy in the Edmonton region by enabling members, prospective members, and representatives of other organizations to practice ethical and effective fundraising.

The Edmonton & Area Chapter fulfills our mission primarily through education and training, promoting credentialing, providing resources, networking, mentoring, advocacy, and recognition.

Our Vision

We strive to make sure fundraising is recognized as a credible and respected profession for the betterment of our communities.
