AFP October Breakfast Presentation: Why Charities Eat Their Young… and How to Avoid Being the Next Meal

About the presentation: Why Charities Eat Their Young and How to Avoid Being the Next Meal AFP and Charity Village job boards are full of new opportunities. We all get calls from that all too familiar recruiter searching to fill a vacancy. We often hear and see the same organizations posting a variety of roles, and in some cases the same role as a year ago. What's happening in our industry? Fundraisers have known for a decade that tenures are too short, organizational success is limited by high turnover rates, so why has little changed? In this fast paced no holds barred session, Joshua and Ray, of MCR West, will delve into better ways to recruit for 'goodness of fit' with the result of reducing the embarrassing statistic of 18 month average (some recruitment specialists are saying it's even lower!) tenures for fundraisers. On the flip side they will explore how to, as a candidate or employee, being 'served up' and 'spit out' by an employer
